LIBERTY - Nancy Reapsummer Welk, 81, of Liberty Township, passed away peacefully Thursday, June 7, 2012.
She was born June 12, 1930, in Girard the youngest child of the late John and Gertrude Clemson Reapsummer.
Nancy was a 1948 graduate of Liberty High School where she met her husband Robert, and they married on Sept. 29, 1956.

In addition to being a homemaker Nancy worked at Ben Franklin in Girard, First National Bank in Girard and JCPenney Company at the Liberty Plaza, and she was a Gray Lady volunteer for Forum Health Northside Medical Center in Youngstown.
She was a member of the Girard First United Methodist Church.
Nancy was an avid gardener and loved sharing her flowers and knowledge of flowers with everyone.
Nancy will be deeply missed by her husband, Robert; son, James Welk of Eliot, Maine; daughter, Judy Rader of Liberty; grandsons, Andrew Rader of Seattle, Wash., and Kyle Rader of Laveen, Ariz.; sisters-in-law, Virginia Reapsummer of Girard and Beverly Deets of Liberty; along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Helen Ford, Audrey Reapsummer, Betty Mills, Doris Ridener and Alice Irene Reapsummer; brothers, John and Joseph Reapsummer; and granddaughter, Rachel Lillian Rader.
Private services will be held at Girard City Cemetery.
Arrangements were entrusted to Blackstone Funeral Home.
Nancy's family would like to thank Dr. Manuel Bautista, Dr. Harriet Lemberger-Schor and the staff at Grace Hospice for their compassionate care of Nancy during her illness.
The family requests that donations be made to the donor's favorite charity or plant a flower in her memory.
