SANTA FE, N.M. - John Gilbert Brown, 67, formerly of Newton Falls, died of cardiac arrest Monday, May 28, 2012, in Santa Fe.
He was born Nov. 1, 1944, in Pittsburgh, the son of Kathleen Brown.
Mr. Brown was of the Christian faith and served in the U.S. Air Force. He retired from Fun Investment in Ventura, Calif.

He is survived by two sons, Reginald of Atlanta and Brandon of Kansas City, Mo.; two daughters, Desirea Brown and Deanna Evans, both of Atlanta; a stepson, David McKenzie of Kansas City, Mo.; a stepdaughter, Michell Maddox of Dallas; a brother, Henry L. Brown of Warren; three sisters, Kathleen Lawrence of Atlanta, the Rev. Gayle R. Salter of Warren and Billie Butler of Las Vegas; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Cremation has been handled by the Riverside Funeral Home, New Mexico Mortuary Services, Albuquerque.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at York Avenue Church of God, Warren.
