Black bear sighted
in McDonald tree
McDONALD - A black bear was found up a tree in the backyard of 737 Illinois Ave. here late Sunday, according to Trumbull County emergency dispatchers.
Trumbull County Sheriff's deputies monitored the bear.
It was unclear whether this bear was the same one reported in Hubbard a week ago.
Ohio Department of Natural Resources officials say sightings this time of year are common because young adult bears are attempting to make it on their own.
