DEAR EDITOR:
On Tuesday, my heart dropped to my stomach.
I was attending the graduation of my grandson and to my dismay this man got up and started the ceremony by telling who was there as far as important people. At that time I wondered why there had been no Pledge of Allegiance or National Anthem, nothing except the color guard from the ROTC program.
What has happened to this small county that we try and disconnect ourselves from our country which has made this possible? What do you think our veterans thought at this time as some have laid their lives down to give us this freedom (I am a proud veteran of 60 years old). What is TCTC thinking of to delete such an important part of such a ceremony?
Please tell me what is going on in this country. We are in the U.S. and we should be proud of it, not listen to a bunch of politicians, and not do what is right.
