MUSEUMS TO SHOWCASE MEMORABILIA: The John Stark Edwards Home, the Upton Association, and the Sutliff Museum will each be open from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday in conjunction with the Tribune Chronicle's Founders Day event. SUMMER CRISIS PROGRAM OFFERS ASSISTANCE: The Trumbull Community Action Program, 1230 Palmyra Road S.W. will hold its summer crisis program through Aug. 31. TCAP is scheduling appointments for the program. Eligible applicant / households may qualify for one or a combination of an air conditioner or a one-time payment for the electric bill not to exceed a total maximum benefit of $250. TRUST NAMED AT HOSPITAL: At the second annual Champions for Our Valley's Children celebration, Akron Children's Hospital Mahoning Valley presented the Kikel Charitable Trust with the 2012 Champion for Our Valley's Children Award. Four individuals and organizations were honored with the first annual Akron Children's Hospital Mahoning Valley Children's Advocate Award. The recipients of the first Children's Advocate Awards are Easter Seals of Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties; Brian Forward, owner of Mahoning Valley Vacuum; Potential Development Program and the R.O.C.c.K. Children's Choir.

YOUTH SUMMER CAMP SET AT GALLERY: The Art Outreach Gallery is expanding its summer workshops and children's programs from June 25 to July 14 at the Art Outreach Gallery in the Eastwood Mall Complex. Fifty workshops are scheduled designed for students ages 3 to 18. Area art educators and art education students from Trumbull Career and Technical Center, Kent State University, American University and Carnegie Mellon University will conduct the workshops.
