HOWLAND HOLDS SUMMER YOUTH PROGRAM: The Howland Township Summer Youth Sport and Recreation Program will be held Mondays to Fridays early June to early August at the township park. Registration forms are available at the township administration building, 205 Niles Cortland Road N.E.

CHINESE AUCTION FOR BENEFIT: A benefit Chinese auction and bake sale are being held from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday at the Mecca Moose Lodge, located on state Route 46, Mecca. Proceeds will go toward payment of medical bills for Beth Caventer, a local girl diagnosed with stage four lung cancer. Organized by the Lundy family, the auction will feature gifts from local businesses, along with a 12-cabinet kitchen at a starting bid of $1,000.
