Broadway veterans, a country star and a popular vocal ensemble will be part of the 2012-13 Celebrity Series at Westminster College.
The five-show season features:
Sept. 13 - The Midtown Men, a vocal group featuring four members of the original cast of the Broadway musical ''Jersey Boys'': Christian Hoff, Michael Longoria, Daniel Reichard, and J. Robert Spencer. The group celebrates the music of the 1960s with songs made famous by the Beatles, the Beach Boys, Motown, The Four Seasons and others.
Oct. 11 - LeAnn Rimes, who became the youngest Grammy winner and the first country singer to win Best New Artist when she scored her first hit at age 13. She will showcase audience favorites in an all-acoustic show.
Oct. 29 - Straight No Chaser, a 10-man a cappella group that started at Indiana University and was propelled to stardom through a YouTube video capturing its unique vocal arrangement of ''The 12 Days of Christmas.'' The ensemble has made numerous television appearances and performed twice at the Covelli Centre in Youngstown.
Dec. 14 - ''A Christmas Carol.'' The touring production of the holiday favorite will celebrate Charles Dickens' 200th birthday.
April 27, 2013 - ''Yesterday Once More: A Musical Tribute to the Carpenters,'' featuring pianist Jim Brickman joined by vocalists Joanna Jahn, Jen Burleigh-Bentz and John Trones in a salute to the hit-making brother-sister duo.
All performances take place at Orr Auditorium on the campus in New Wilmington, Pa.
