The Rust Belt Theater Company's studio for Young Actors will present an original musical for a two weekend run.

The show, titled ''#GrowingPains,'' was written entirely by RBTC students and will feature music, poetry, dramatic monologues, comedy and dance.

Students were teamed up with local performing artists Nicole Zayas, Marisa Zamary, Josh Taylor, Rached Tabbara and Robert Dennick Joki to produce the two-act program which consists of 30 pages of dialogue and 10 original songs. Some of the new songs include ''Don't Tell Me Who I Am,'' ''The Anti-Country Song,'' ''Growing Pains,'' ''My Angel My Star,'' ''Yes That Just Happened'' and ''Now I'm Just a Lullaby.''

The cast includes Madison Jean Gulfo, Brittany Best, Brandi Hughes, Kelly Unger, Lucy Jones, Grace Offerdahl, Jala Beasley-Williams, Mike Orf, Joey C. Corradi, Murphy Sharp, Rachel Clifford and Donnette Bishop.

Cast members participated in a four-week workshop at no cost.

''#Growing Pains'' will be staged at 8 p.m. Friday, Saturday and June 8-9 at the Calvin Centre, 755 Mahoning Ave., Youngs-town, and a reception is planned at intermission for the opening night performance.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students and senior citizens. For reservations or more information, call or text 330-507-2358.
