NEW LYME - Janis A. Offutt, 71, died Sunday, May 27, 2012, in her home.
She was born May 20, 1941, in Ashtabula, the daughter of Katherine DiBell and Robert A. Lane.
She worked for Alphabet Co. in Orwell and also for the Pymatuning Resort in Williamsfield.

She belonged to the New Lyme Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Ray Offutt Sr.; four daughters, Beverly J. Cipra of Williamsfield, Karen S. Casady of Livonia, Mo., Teresa L. Offutt of Cherry Valley and April D. Urch of Kingsville; two sons, Donald R. Offutt Jr. and Michael L. Offutt of Memphis, Mo.; six sisters, Ruth Martin, Roberta Burdick, Kathy Braggs, Carol Snyder, Barbara White and Dolores Jones; a brother, Alan Lane; 17 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Deceased are three brothers and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Brownville Cemetery.
