AUSTINTOWN - John M. Bodnar, 67, died Friday afternoon, May 25, 2012, in Valley Care Northside Medical Center.
He was born March 17, 1945, in Youngstown, the son of John and Ann Zemko Bodnar.
He retired from WCI Steel as an electrical systems engineer superintendent.

Mr. Bodnar was a member of St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church.
Survivors include his companion, Rosemary Ferranti; a son, John M. Bodnar Jr. of Albuquerque, N.M.; a daughter, Jennifer Anne Lambert of Youngstown; two brothers, Ronald R. Bodnar of Dumfries, Va., and Gerald Bodnar of Lordstown; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister.
Services will be 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Kinnick Funeral Home and 1 p.m. at St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, where a prayer service will take place at 3:30 p.m.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
