Richard E. Butcher of Cortland and Renee A. Sebastian, also of Cortland, are announcing the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Amber E. Butcher to Jason R. Darocha, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald L. Darocha of Lordstown.
The bride-elect is pursuing a bachelor of science in nursing degree at Kent State University. She is employed at Guardian Health Care Center as a licensed practical nurse.
Mr. Darocha graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in applied science in exercise science with a minor in biology. He is employed at AVI Food Systems Inc.

The couple will exchange marriage vows during a wedding ceremony to be held on Aug. 18, 2012, at the Gazebo in Boardman Township Park. Invitations will be issued for the ceremony and a reception to follow at Ciminero's Banquet Center.
