Mr. and Mrs. John Stefano of Howland celebrated their 65th anniversary at a family dinner in their honor.
John Stefano and the former Virginia Rufo were married May 10, 1947, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Warren.
They both graduated from Warren G. Harding High School and are members of St. James Catholic Church in Warren.

After serving three years in the Army Air Corps during World War II, Mr. Stefano returned to his job as a machine operator at Van Huffel Tube. He retired in 1983 after 42 years of service with the company.
Mrs. Stefano worked for the Ohio State Extension Service as a secretary for 20 years.
The couple have two sons, Robert of Warren and Richard (Donna) of Solon. They also have two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
