SCOPE?SETS?LINE?DANCE?CLASS: The Warren SCOPE Center will hold an ultra-beginner line dance class from 6 to 7 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays. The first session is scheduled for June 25. Gloria Stone of Sneakers 'N Spurs will teach dancers basic line dance steps. The cost is $2 per session.

PREREGISTER FOR BEE: The 26th annual Trumbull Retired Teachers Association Spelling Bee will be held at 1 p.m. July 5 at the Trumbull County Fair. Preregistration is being accepted until June 1. GRIEF SUPPORT GROUP OFFERED: A free grief support group will meet from 6 to 7:30 p.m. one Thursday a month beginning May 24 at the Warren SCOPE Center. Attendees may share as much of their stories as they wish, and fellowship and refreshments with others. Friends and family members also are welcome.

ST. JOE'S RETIREES MEET: St. Joseph Health Center retirees will meet for breakfast at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Wayside restaurant in Champion. The date has been changed due to the Memorial Day holiday the following Monday. Attendees should take a white elephant item for auction as well as a nonperishable food item to be donated to the Warren Mission.

COPELAND OAKS BOOK SALE: The Copeland Oaks Retirement Community's semi-annual book sale on Saturday will offer a wide variety of books and media, with all proceeds benefitting the Copeland Oaks library. The book sale, a resident favorite, will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Bennett Auditorium.

In addition to the book sale, nurses from Crandall Medical Center have arranged a bake sale in the auditorium for the duration of the event.

MOBILE MEALS HAS OPENINGS: Trumbull Mobile Meals has immediate openings on most of its delivery routes for clients who need home-delivered meals. There is no waiting list. One or two nutritious meals are delivered directly to private homes for individuals exhibiting a qualified need. Meal service plans are designed to meet each individual's needs.

In addition, volunteer drivers are needed to help deliver meals. There is an urgent need for Girard, Niles and Warren route drivers. Anyone who can donate an hour or so once a week or even once a month is invited to call Mobile Meals at 330-394-2538.

SHEPHERD CELEBRATES 40 YEARS: Shepherd of the Valley kicks off a summer of celebrations with a 40th anniversary open house from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the flagship location in Niles, 1500 McKinley Ave.

Activities include a free barbecue chicken dinner, children's activities for 12 and younger, coloring contest, cookie decorating station and strawberry recipe contest results. Entry information is available at the Niles site or online at www.ShepherdoftheValley.com. There also will be tours of the new short-term rehab suites.

The TRUMBULL COUNTY NUTRITION PROGRAM FOR THE ELDERLY is provided by the Trumbull County Office of Elderly Affairs and operates nutrition sites at 10 locations throughout Trumbull County. These sites provide a meal and the opportunity for socialization. Donations will be accepted.

Any senior citizen 60 and older and spouses of those 60 and older are welcome for lunch at any of the following sites:

FOWLER-VIENNA SENIOR CITIZENS: The group meets from 9:30 a.m. or later every Thursday at the Fowler Community Center to play cards and games, celebrate birthdays and anniversaries and for a 50-50 raffle and meals. Special meals are served on the fourth Thursday of the month. Cost is $3 each.

All those 55 and older are welcome. Annual dues are $12.
