DEAR EDITOR:
I'd like to voice my opinion on something that has been on my mind and bothering me for quite some time now.
I am a parent, I love my children and brag about them any chance that I get. But there are two ways that I would never consider bragging about them.
One is by putting an emblem on my vehicle window showing the number of children that I have and their genders. Some emblems even have the child's name on it (mostly sport emblems).
Also, working in an office and opening the incoming mail, I have seen return address labels with the same type of information on them. I so badly want to return these labels warning of the unfortunate things that could happen.
To me, this information could get into the wrong hands or be seen by the wrong type of person. We live in a crazy, mixed-up society with way too many pedophiles. I am scared to think about what kind of danger is lurking out there.
People need to protect their children by not displaying these kind of things.
