YOUNGSTOWN - Vice President Joe Biden plans to be in the city next week.
Biden will visit M7 Technologies on Ohio Works Drive and also will visit a Chevrolet dealership in Martins Ferry on either Wednesday or Thursday, according to the Obama Biden campaign.
A news release from the campaign said Biden will speak at M7 about Obama's work to build an economy that will be secure for a long time for the company.
M7 was launched in 2004 and provides parts and assemblies for a wide variety of industries in several specialized fields, including defense, automotive and construction. The company's building covers more than 46,000 square feet at the Ohio Works site.
The President was in Ohio last week in Columbus. Biden was last in the area in 2010, when he spoke at Astro Shapes in Struthers.
Biden was in Warren in October of 2008 during the presidential election, speaking at the Warren Community Ampitheatre.
In Martins Ferry, Biden will be speaking at Staffilino Chevrolet, a family-owned dealership where the vice president will talk about how the president's policies have helped the auto industry.
''We're all excited here. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity to have the vice president stop at your workplace,'' Richard Vince, the sales manager at Staffilino, said.
The dealership has benefited from Obama's policies, Vince said.
''There are lot of hard-working people here,'' Vince said. ''We're in a family here and they saved all our jobs.''
Martins Ferry Paul Riethmiller also said he was pleased with the visit.
''He'll spend some quality time here,'' Riethmiller said. ''We're going to roll out the red carpet.''
Final times and details have yet to be announced.
