HOWLAND - David A. Smith, 59, died Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at his residence, following a heart attack.
He was born Oct. 12, 1952, in Titusville, Pa., the son of Kent and Jean Hookins Smith.
David was a member of Believers' Christian Fellowship and was an employee of Taylor Coil.

Survivors include his wife, Terry Strope Smith; three sons, Jesse of Columbus, and Josiah and Samuel, both at home; three daughters, Shannon Williams of Charleston, S.C., Sarah Smith of Columbus and Libby Smith at home; two brothers, Stephen of Newton Falls and Timothy of Kinsman; five sisters, Cindy Smith of Burghill, Susan Kelly of Leavittsburg, Sally Eucher of Kinsman, Lynne Smith of Southington and Beth Huhn of Columbus; and two granddaughters.
A funeral service will be held at noon Monday at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, where visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to services.
