William and Kathy Eckard of Warren are announcing the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Kristin C. Eckard to Jason A. Caron, son of Nona Caron of Stow and the late Peter Caron.
Miss Eckard, a 1997 graduate of Howland High School, graduated in 2001 from Baldwin Wallace College with a bachelor of science in psychology and magna cum laude in 2005 from Youngstown State University with a bachelor of science in education. She completed her studies by graduating summa cum laude in 2009 from Kent State University with a master of education degree in reading specialization. She is employed as a special education teacher in Bryantown, Md.
Mr. Caron, a 1998 graduate of Stow-Munroe Falls High School, graduated in 2002 from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology with a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering. Graduate studies included a mechanical engineering masters degree in 2006 from University of Maryland and a master of science in engineering and technology management in 2011 from George Washington University. He is employed as a federal civilian engineer for the United States Navy at the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Indian Head, Md.

The couple will be united in marriage during a wedding ceremony to be held May 26, 2012, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Warren. Invitations have been issued for the ceremony and a reception to follow at Squaw Creek Country Club in Vienna.
