CORTLAND - Roy E. Fabian Sr., 55, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2012, at the Hospice House after a hard fought battle with cancer.
He was born Oct. 27, 1956, in Warren, the son of Edward Fabian and Rose Wylam Heil.
Roy was the owner and operator of Hawley Landscape for 39 years. He was an avid hunter, enjoyed fishing, participated in Relay For Life, and most of all he cherished his family.

He is survived by his mother of Warren; his wife, the former Mary A. Blakeley, whom he married Aug. 28, 1976; a son, Roy E. (Courtney) Fabian Jr. of Cortland; a daughter, Deidre M. (Rob) Hindman of Garrettsville; four sisters, Jeanne (Rex) Tilley of North Carolina, Bonnie Carmichael of Niles, Patti Amick of Warren and Sue (Dave) Kozarich of North Carolina; four brothers, Tom (Sheila) Fabian of Cortland, Roger (Sharon) Fabian of Cortland, David Fabian of Warren and Tim (Rose) Fabian of Cortland; and he was expecting his first grandchild on the way, a grandson named Rylan.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard. Family will receive relatives and friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
The family requests that material contributions be made to the Hospice House, 9803 Sharrott Road, Poland, OH 44514, in memory of Roy.
