The engagement and upcoming marriage of Elyse M. Voorhies and Joseph R. Infante Jr. are being announced by the bride-elect's parents, Kenneth and Virginia Voorhies of Howland and the groom-elect's parents, Joseph and Mary Infante of Niles.
Miss Voorhies is a 2004 graduate of John F. Kennedy High School. She graduated from Mercyhurst College with a bachelor's degree in accounting and is employed as an accountant at Covelli Enterprises.
Mr. Infante is a 2003 graduate of Niles McKinely High School. He is pursuing his bachelor's degree in business leadership from Ashford University and is employed at Niles Expanded Metals as an operator.

The couple will be united in marriage during a wedding ceremony to be held Aug. 17, 2012, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles. Invitations will be issued for an evening reception.
