DEAR EDITOR:
Our country as a whole, especially our schools, is trying to effectively combat bullying. Our president is portraying a very disturbing act of bullying: his attempt to bully the Supreme Court to not declare Obamacare as unconstitutional.
His actions set a very poor example to our children on the issue of bullying. He is attempting to use bullying as a way to try to sway the Supreme Court. His actions and attitude clearly indicate fear on his part that the cornerstone of his presidency may soon unravel. His actions clearly indicate an attitude of fear-mongering. He should immediately stop such actions and apologize to the Supreme Court.
The separation of powers is the cornerstone of our successful democracy. Sanctity of the separation of power must be persevered at all costs.
Fellow Americans, just think, if our president thinks it is acceptable to bully the Supreme Court, what can we expect as common citizens?
There is one truly effective way to show our disdain for our president's actions: "the ballot box."
Is this the type of leadership our great country deserves? "No."
Let us speak in a united way in this fall's election, and say enough is enough.
John Martin
