The engagement and upcoming marriage of Heather Pegg and Joshua Guthrie are being announced by the bride-elect's parents, Jeffery Pegg of Warren and Denise Armstrong of Champion. Parents of the groom-elect are Michael and Shirley Guthrie of Kittanning, Pa.
Miss Pegg is a 2005 graduate of Champion High School and graduated magna cum laude from Point Park University, with a bachelor of science degree in education. She is employed as a fifth-grade teacher at McGuffey K-8 School in Warren.
Mr. Guthrie also graduated in 2005 from Kittanning High School. He received a bachelor's degree in political science from Seton Hill University and a master's degree in education from Grand Canyon University. He is employed by Northwood Golf Course and the Geauga Trumbull Solid Waste District.

The couple will be united in marriage during a wedding ceremony to be held May 26, 2012, at Central Christian Church in Warren. Invitations will be issued for the ceremony and a reception to be held at DiVieste's in Warren.
