The engagement and upcoming marriage of Katherine M. Tackett and Matthew C. Miller are being announced by the bride-elect's parents, Rodney and Darlene Tackett of Warren and Michael and Alice DeMas of Niles.
The groom-elect's parents are Max Miller of Barkeyville and the late Linda Miller.
Miss Tackett is a 2003 graduate of Champion High School and a 2006 graduate of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, where she earned her bachelor's degree in graphic design. She works at a print shop in Pittsburgh as a digital pre-press operator and skates for the Steel City Roller Derby.

Mr. Miller is a 2002 graduate of Grove City High School and an associate's degree in mathematics at CCAC. He is pursuing a bachelor's degree in mathematics at the University of Pittsburgh.
The two will be united in marriage during a wedding ceremony to be held on Oct. 13, 2012, at the B&O Station Banquet Hall in Youngs-town. Invitations will be sent for the ceremony and reception that is to follow.
