Mr. and Mrs. Gerald K. Groves of Warren are announcing the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Kathryn ''Katie'' to Erik M. Bachinger, son of Michael and Heidi Bachinger of Youngstown.
The bride-elect is a 2003 graduate of Lakeview High School and 2009 graduate of Youngstown State University, with a bachelor of science degree in nursing. She is employed as a registered nurse at Cleveland Clinic.
Mr. Bachinger graduated from Chaney High School in 2001 and attended YSU. He is employed as a supervisor for InfoCision in New Castle, Pa.

The couple will be united in marriage during an open church wedding ceremony to be held at 3:30 p.m. Sept. 1, 2012, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Warren. Invitations will be issued for a reception.
