Timothy and Patti Keenan of Hubbard announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Carrie Keenan of Howland, to Matthew Wittenauer of Augusta, Ga. The groom-elect is the son of Mariann Wittenauer of Hubbard and the late John Wittenauer.
Miss Keenan graduated magna cum laude from Kent State University with a bachelor of science degree in education and she also earned a master of education in higher education administration from KSU. She is employed at Kent State University at Trumbull as an enrollment management and student services adviser.
Mr. Wittenauer earned a bachelor of science in microbiology from the Ohio State University and a certificate in perfusion from the Cleveland Clinic School of Cardiovascular Perfusion. He is employed as a perfusionist at University Hospital in Augusta, Ga.

A wedding ceremony is planned for Sept. 8, 2012, at First Presbyterian Church in Youngstown. Invitations will be issued for a reception to follow at Mr. Anthony's in Boardman.
