JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. - Leslie Jene Post, 64, of Jacksonville Beach, Fla., passed away Monday, March 12, 2012.
She was born April 13, 1947, in Warren, to the late Robert and Phyllis Armstrong, and graduated from Warren G. Harding High School in 1965.
She graduated with her B.A. from Fairmont State University in 1969, followed by her master's in education at Kent State Trumbull Campus. She taught in Warren for 36 years.
She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Warren and later of Christ Church Episcopal Church in Ponte Vedra, Fla.
She was a member of BPW, Solo Flight Club, Church Mice, the PTA, Symphony Guild and Book Club. She enjoyed dancing and was formerly the head majorette of Warren G. Harding High School and member of Phi Mu Sorority.
She will be remembered for her ability to love all and she was the perfect hostess, making sure everyone felt welcome, and for her joy for life and ability to live life to its fullest. She will also be remembered for her ability to motivate and help others to believe in themselves and that they are able to accomplish their dreams if only they put their heart into it.
She had a strong faith that helped her through the battle she had at the end of her life, and she taught others every day through her actions, not just her words.
Survivors include a son, Michael Post of Jacksonville Beach; a daughter, Jaimie (CJ) Shires of Jacksonville, Fla.; two sisters, Patricia (Michael) Frank and Robyn Moronti; and nephews, Robert Frank and Jason Silvey, all of Jacksonville, Fla.
Memorial services were held Friday at Christ Episcopal Church, Ponte Vedra Beach.
A memorial service will follow in the future at Christ Episcopal Church of Warren.
