DEAR EDITOR:
I am a concerned citizen. The reason for this letter is that I recently acquired a copy of the agenda from Community Bus Services' February meeting. This agenda seemed to be a collaborative agenda between CBS and Trumbull Transit System.
In fact, the agenda is titled Trumbull County Transit Financial Planning and Reporting Meeting. The reason for this letter is to question why the chief contractor for Trumbull Transit is running their meetings and dealing with financial information.
Furthermore, one of the contracts included in this agenda was between Trumbull County Educational Service Center and Trumbull County Transit Board. In the contract, specific dates of the contract are mentioned, but further in the contract it is stated that the contract will automatically renew.
How is this contract auto-renewed without going out for bid? It seems that this service and board are being run by CBS. I may be wrong, but I wanted to bring this to the attention of the citizens of this great community.
