DEAR EDITOR:
How insulting it is to hear Vice President Biden speak about the auto bailout saying the Obama administration wants to "strengthen middle-class security" and "where hard work pays off, responsibility is rewarded and everyone plays by the same set of rules."
As a GM-Delphi salaried retiree, our pensions were cut 30 percent to 70 percent by the Obama administration in the GM bankruptcy process. While we are pleased that our unionized counterparts were made whole, we were the forgotten ones, cast aside in the bankruptcy process. We were told we had no commercial value.
Well, guess what? We are 20,000 strong nationwide. The government should not choose winners and losers. This administration needs to right this injustice by providing what is rightfully ours - our pensions. What happened to us could happen to anyone.
