1st Lt. Emily Anne Montgomery and 1st Lt. Joseph W. Sabat Jr. were united in marriage during a wedding ceremony held Jan. 14, 2012, at the Academy of the Sacred Heart Chapel in New Orleans, La. Monsignor Christopher Nalty officiated the ceremony.
A reception was held following the ceremony at the Omni Royal Orleans in the French Quarter.
The bride is the daughter of Christopher and Anne Montgomery of River Ridge, La. Parents of the groom are Joseph and Debbra Sabat of Howland.
Rebecca and Samantha Montgomery attended their sister as maids of honor. Bridesmaids were Carly Sabat, Gwen Orr, Hedy Kraft, 2nd Lt. Lauren Kerdavid, 1st Lt. Sarah Alford and 1st Lt. Shelley Ecklebe.
Performing the duties of best man for the groom was 1st Lt. Anson Park. Groomsmen were Ryan Justis, Craig Dobos, Scott Dobos, Andrew Adgate, 1st Lt. Brad Wills, 1st Lt. Alex Prevendar and 1st Lt. Adam Voci.
The new Mrs. Sabat is a 2005 graduate of the Academy of the Sacred Heart in New Orleans, received a bachelor of science degree in material science from the Air Force Academy in 2009 and is pursuing a master's degree at Florida State University.
Mr. Sabat graduated from Howland High School in 2004, received a bachelor of science in engineering mechanics in 2008 from the Air Force Academy and a master's degree from the Air Force Institute of Technology in 2010.
The couple took a delayed honeymoon to New England and reside in Florida.
