HARTFORD-BADGER ALUMNI TO HOLD BANQUET: The Hartford-Badger Alumni Association will hold its 125th annual Alumni Banquet at 6 p.m. May 12 at The Brentford House, 737 Myron St., Hubbard. The cost is $18 per person. A golf outing also is planned at Avalon at Buhl in Sharon, Pa.

WERTMAN / WORTMAN FAMILY TO HOLD REUNION IN CIRCLEVILLE: The Wertman Family Association, a national group, will hold its 2012 reunion meeting Aug. 17 through 19 in Circleville. This is the first time the association has met in the Circleville area.
This group will present reports on the family, attend the outdoor drama Tecumseh, visit a restored 1860s home still occupied by a related family, enjoy a picnic at Circleville's newest park and visit gravesites of Wertman families.
Families that intermarried with the Wertmans over the last two centuries include Bolender, Delong, Hines, Leist, Liston, Reichelderfer, Stapleton and Valentine. Representatives and families also are welcome to attend.
