Scouts mark 100 years

Girl Scouts Abigail Houser and Allison Sites, both of Troop 239, let their pinwheels blow in the wind during the 100th anniversary celebration Monday for Girl Scouts held at the Howland gazebo. At 7:12 p.m., the many Scouts who attended recited the Girl Scout Promise. It was at 7:12 p.m. March 12, 1912, that the first Girl Scout troop met.
