CHILI TO BE JUDGED AT EVENT: The Cortland SCOPE Center will host a chili cookoff from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at the center. The public can help judge people's choice of chili. There will be gifts in different categories. Lunch will be available at $5.

CLOTHING BEING PROVIDED AT HOWLAND CHURCH: Central Christian Church, 44 S. Main St., Hubbard, will hold a community clothes closet from 10 a.m. to noon Friday. The closet needs donations of infant and children's clothing, which can be brought to the church. All clothing has been donated.
PROGRAM TO HELP FAMILIES BE PREPARED: McFarland and Son Funeral Services will help families pre-planning and preparing for funeral arrangements at a program at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Howland Scope Center, 8273 High St. N.E., Warren.
KIDS FEST PLANNED AT SCHOOL: The third annual Kids Fest will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the LaBrae High School cafeteria. There will be a basket raffle. Cost is $1 per ticket or $20 for unlimited play for a family of four or fewer and $25 for families of more than four members.
