Jackie Palomino and Greg Hanshaw, together with their families, are announcing their engagement and upcoming marriage.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walther Palomino of Springfield, Va. Parents of the groom-elect are Juanita Hanshaw of Warren and the late Coy Hanshaw.
Miss Palomino was born in Peru and immigrated to the United States in 2003. After studying law, she is pursuing a bachelor's degree in political science in Northern Virginia.

Mr. Hanshaw graduated from Kent State University with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice. He is employed with the federal government and resides in Virginia.
