Abbey E. Shimko and Shaquille J. Stoutamire were married during a wedding ceremony held July 9, 2011, at the Maranatha Church in Cortland. Officiating was Pastor Woody Cavender.
The reception was held at Aulizio's Banquet Center following the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Roy and Diana Glaspell and the late Daniel Shimko. Parents of the groom are Wilson Stoutamire III and Michelle Stoutamire.

Caitlin Metzger was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids included Cindy Fisher, the bride's cousin, and Alexis Musgrove, Tonya Smith and Lauren Kearns.
Performing the duties of best man were Michael Comanescu. Groomsmen were Jamil Stoutamire, brother of the groom, and Drew Wanzek, Constantine Ploumbis and brother of the bride Phillip Shimko.
The new Mrs. Stoutamire graduated Warren G. Harding in 2011 and is pursuing an English degree.
Mr. Stoutamire is also a WGH graduate and is pursuing an engineering degree.
Following their honeymoon in Geneva, the couple resides in Toledo, where they attend Toledo University.
