William Jack and Josephine Marteney will celebrate their 60th anniversary with a getaway to Las Vegas after the new year. Locally, they will celebrate at a dinner with their family.
Jack Marteney and the former Josephine Bennett were married Dec. 22, 1951, at St. Paul's Methodist Church in Oakland, Md., by Pastor Denver C. Pickens.
Jack has had his own barber shop in Leavittsburg for many years and has dedicated many years of timeless efforts for Tod Children's Hospital. He also was a Community Star.

Jo has worked at General Electric and now at Sam's Club as a sample lady for many years.
The couple have two sons, Gary of Braceville and David (deceased), four grandchildren and one great-grandson.
