Glenn and Michelle Griffiths of Mineral Ridge celebrated their 50th anniversary in October with an 18-day trip throughout New England.
Mr. Griffiths and the former Michelle Mickelson were married by the Rev. Jay Bishop on Oct. 7, 1961, at The First Presbyterian Church of Niles.
The couple have two children, Paul of Niles and Alison Griffiths of New Springfield. They also have one granddaughter.

Both Glenn and Michelle are graduates of Niles McKinley High School. Glenn attended Newberry College in Newberry, S.C., and is a graduate of Youngstown State University. In addition, he completed studies in banking programs at several universities, including the University of Wisconsin and Vanderbilt University.
He is retired from Security Dollar Bank of Niles, where he served as president and CEO, and from the Community Action Agency of Columbiana County, where he was in charge of the bus system for the county which was run by the agency. Glenn is a veteran of the Army Reserves and the Air Force Reserves.
Michelle holds a Ph.D. in English from Kent State University, along with her master's and bachelor's. She taught at YSU, Kent State University and the University of Mount Union in Alliance.
They are members of the First Presbyterian Church of Mineral Ridge, where Michelle is a deacon.
