STROKE SUPPORT GROUP: The Hillside Stroke Support group will meet from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Thursday for the annual Christmas party. The event will be held in the boardroom. All stroke survivors and family members are welcome. For information, call Cindy at 330-841-3891.

MANAGING STRESS: The first monthly TMH Healthy Woman program, "Managing Stress: Your Heart, Health and The Holidays" is set for 5 p.m. Thursday at Jen's Total Fitness, 8240 E. Market St., Howland.

Featured speaker is cardiologist Larry Woods. Dr. Deirdre Petrich, PsyCare, will talk about balancing work and family. There also will be a yoga demonstration, different displays and light refreshments.

OHIO PREMIER HEALTH SOLUTIONS PRESENTS MEDICARE EDUCATION: Ohio Premier Health Solutions will present Medicare education at 7 p.m. the first Tuesday and third Thursday of every month at Ohio Premier Health Solutions, 458 High St. Warren. Admission is free. For more information, call 330-394-7400.

IMMUNIZATION CLINIC AT HEALTH DEPARTMENT: The Warren City Health Department will hold the childhood immunization clinic from 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. Dec. 12 at the health department, 418 Main Ave. S.W. FREE WORKSHOP: The Trumbull Health Department in partnership with the Area Agency on Aging 11 will host a free workshop "Healthy U'' from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday and Friday and Dec. 8 and 9. The program helps people manage chronic health conditions such as asthma, arthritis, heart disease and diabetes. OSTOMY SUPPORT GROUP: The Youngstown Area Ostomy Support Group will meet at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 13 at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center, Cedar Room.

MS SUPPORT GROUP TO MEET: The MS Support Group will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. the third Thursday of each month at the Knights of Columbus Warren Council, 1947 E. Market St., Warren. The group will provide information and resources that enhance the quality of life for people with multiple sclerosis and their families. There is no cost to attend and refreshments will be served. FLU CLINIC HELD: A flu clinic will be held from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. daily at Warren West Community Health Center, 716 Tod Ave., Warren. Medicaid and Medicare will be accepted. All others are $20 each. Walk-ins are welcome. For more information, call 330-373-0222.

NAMI PLANS MEETING: The NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Mahoning Valley daytime support group meets from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. the first and third Thursday of each month at the Girard Free Library, corner of North Avenue and Broadway. The NAMI Mahoning Valley evening support group meets from 7 to 9 p.m. the second and fourth Tuesday of the month at D&E Center, 142 Javit Court, Austintown. STRONG BONES - STRONG PEOPLE PROGRAM - This is a free 12-week program of personalized strength training and nutritional education for those who have osteoporosis, low bone density or at risk to improve muscle strength and nutrition.

WEIGHT MANAGEMENT THROUGH STRENGTH TRAINING - Join for $20 a month. Nutrition classes once a month on diet and behavior modification. Registration required.

FREE CAROTID OR AAA SCREENING: Dec. 7 and Jan. 5, 8:30 a.m. to noon. - For those at risk and who meet criteria. By appointment only.

FREE NOTARY PUBLIC SERVICES, FREE LIVING WILLS AND DURABLE POWER OF ATTORNEY FOR HEALTH CARE: Dec. 14 and Jan. 11, 9 a.m. to noon - Completed this day with help from palliative care staff.

FALLING PREVENTION CLASS: Dec. 14 and Jan. 11 noon to 1:30 p.m. - Prevent yourself or a loved one from a fall by attending this class. Free balance testing by PT. Also beginning Tai Chi Chih instruction.

FREE PERIPHERAL VASCULAR DISEASE SCREENING: Dec. 29 and Jan. 26, 1 to 4 p.m. - A nurse will measure blood flow to the legs by doing ankle brachial index. By appointment only.

FREE BONE DENSITY SCREENING: Dec. 17 and Jan. 21, 9 a.m. to noon - Come in to have an ultrasound of the heel bone to screen for osteoporosis.

DIABETIC CARE: Dec. 19 and Jan. 16 , 8:30 to 11 a.m. - Free blood sugar screenings. Eight-hour fast required, 9 to 11 a.m. - Free foot screening for those at risk with Dr. C. Reyes, 9 to 10 a.m. - Diabetes Wellness Connection group with St. Joe's diabetes educators.

T'AI CHI CHIH CLASSES: today and Dec. 6 , 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. - T'ai Chi Chih is not martial arts, but 19 soft-flowing movements with proven health benefits. Attend nine weekly classes for $45.
