Mr. and Mrs. Edward Cononico of Leavittsburg announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Amber Cononico, to James Rook, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Rook, of Lordstown.
Miss Cononico is a 1999 graduate of LaBrae High School and a 2004 graduate of Kent State University. She is employed as a claims analyst with Allstate Insurance in Hudson.
Mr. Rook is a 2004 graduate of Lordstown High School and a 2009 graduate of the University of Akron. He is a teacher in the Lordstown Local School District.

The couple will be united in marriage during a wedding ceremony to be held on Dec. 17, 2011, at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Niles. Invitations have been issued for the ceremony and a reception to be held at Avion on the Water in Canfield.
