Mr. and Mrs. William R. Shelton of Greene are announcing the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Joni Shelton, to Brian Quinn, son of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick E. Quinn of Poland.
Ms. Shelton is a 2002 graduate of Maplewood High School. She received a bachelor's degree in law and social thought from the University of Toledo in 2006 and a master's degree in education from the University of Akron in 2009. She is employed as a special education teacher for Warren City Schools.
Mr. Quinn is a 1998 graduate of Poland High School. He received dual bachelor's degrees in classical guitar performance and music history in 2004, and a master's degree in classical guitar performance in 2008, from Youngstown State University. He will graduate with a bachelor's degree in nursing from Kent State University next year. He is employed as adjunct faculty, teaching guitar at Thiel College, and also teaches private guitar lessons.
