Liberty has hired a new football coach. Brian Jones is expected to be approved by the school board today.
Jones is a former Leopard standout, who's been an assistant coach for Liberty and for Youngstown State. He graduated from Youngstown State University and is currently a physical education teacher for Liberty. Jones replaces Jeff Whittaker, who compiled a 100-52 record in 17 seasons with the Leopards.
