Lordstown SCOPE will host the Trumbull County Senior Court AARP Driver's Safety program from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Nov. 9. The course reviews driving skills and techniques as well as strategies to help seniors adjust to physical changes that may affect their driving ability.

The SCOPE Senior Center is seeking volunteers to help seniors in the area make lap robes and walker caddies for the Shepherd of the Valley nursing home. No sewing ability is needed. The group meets at 1 p.m. Mondays.
The center is offering advanced computer classes for people age 50 and older from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday. This class is for those who have taken a beginning computer class and wish to learn more. The class will cover use of word processors, spreadsheets, and presentation programs.
The fee is $10 for SCOPE members and $15 for nonmembers and includes a workbook. Classes are held at the McKinley House Computer Lab, which is part of the McKinley Memorial Library. Pre-registration is required, as class size is limited to eight students.
