The Dana Symphony Orchestra will perform music from opera and ballet at a Halloween night concert at Powers Auditorium.
John Wilcox will lead the orchestra in a program featuring Rossini's Overture to ''La Cenerentola (Cinderella),'' the ballet interludes and overture from Verdi's opera ''I Vespri Siciliani'' and Richard Strauss' ''Four Last Songs,'' based on three poems by Hermann Hesse (''Spring,'' ''September'' and ''On Returning to Rest'') and one by Joseph von Eichendorf (''In the Evening Glow'').
Guest vocalist on ''Four Last Songs'' will be soprano Misook Yun.
The concert starts at 8 p.m. Monday at Powers Auditorium, 260 W. Federal St., Youngstown. Tickets are $5 for adults, $4 for students and senior citizens and free for YSU students with a current ID. For more information, call 330-941-3636.
