My first stop just had to be school. I floated through the double doors, right past the metal detectors (much to my glee), and down to my locker hallway. Just to experiment, I caused all the lockers to fly open and spill their contents all over the floor. As for the girls that always picked on me, I threw all of THEIR stuff out the window. Pretty soon though, this all began to bore me. It was starting to get lonely already! Heavy footsteps pounded down the hallway, and then stopped in obvious surprise at the mess. It was Liam-somebody, a guy in my class that I'd only ever seen when he was running at the cross country practices.
"Gwendolyn? That is your name, right? What are you doing here? And what happened to the hallway?!?!?!?"
I froze, quite certain that I was hearing things. Micah had said that no one could see or hear me; therefore Liam could not possibly have just said my name. I turned and began to walk away, but he started, very confused.
"Where are you going? Stop!!"
Now I was really scared. He could see me, or he was crazy.
"Liam? Can you hear me?"

"Well of course I can hear you! I'm not deaf. Do you know what happened here?"
"Um, yeah, I do."
"Okay . . . well what happened?"
That was it. I ran. I reached the stairs, leaping down both floors completely undamaged, hearing Liam hiss in shock.
"What the heck is going on here?!?!? Gwen!!!!"
Why did my ghost time have to turn out like this? Of all the people to see me, it WOULD be one of my classmates that I'd like to forever be rid of.
"Micah?!?! Can I get some help here?!?!?"
A fierce wind blew through the hall, almost knocking me off my feet. Micah materialized in front of me, annoyed.
"What do you want?"
"That guy behind me can see me. Is that normal?"
His eyes widened in shock, taking in Liam's breathless self as he finished the stairs. Liam did a double-take finding Micah there, completely lost by now.
"Who are you people?!?"
Micah stepped across me, trying to take control of a situation that he seemed to have no experience in.
"We're dead, Liam."
He laughed. Just laughed out loud at a seemingly preposterous suggestion. We stared uncomfortably, unsure of how to continue without damaging his mind.
"Um, Liam, he's telling the truth. We're DEAD."
That shut him up, and shut us up. The three of us just stared around, stuck. What do we do now?
