Mr. and Mrs. Eugene R. and Judith L. Maras celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at Wheeling Island and Olgebay Park in West Virginia. Upon their return, the couple was honored by their children at a family dinner at Alberini's in Boardman.
Mr. Maras and the former Judith Lesko were married Sept. 16, 1961, at St. Mary's Church in Warren. The Rev. Mark Swick officiated.
Gene is retired from the engineering department of Packard Electric after 32 years. Judy is retired from Howland Local Schools after 25 years.

They have three children, Darla Maras of Columbus, Brian Maras of Cortland and Gary Maras of Columbus. They also are the proud grandparents of one grandson.
Gene enjoys golfing, bowling and attending his grandson's soccer and basketball games. Judy enjoys gardening, playing bridge, exercising, golfing and being with family. They also both enjoy traveling and have been on many cruises to Alaska, the Caribbean and Europe.
