Mr. and Mrs. William Woodford of Champion celebrated their 50th anniversary with a week of surprises while vacationing with family at Fripp Island, S.C.
Bill and the former Linda Greene were married Aug. 4, 1961, by the Rev. Nevin Wertenberger at the West Farmington Methodist Church.
The couple have three children, Bill (Katherine), Craig (Cindy) and Lori (Rob). They also have eight grandchildren.
