Mr. and Mrs. Roger W. Modispaugh celebrated their 40th anniversary with a dinner at Cafe 422 in Warren. They also traveled to Disney World for a week and spent time at their cabin in Bemis, W.Va., with family.
Mr. Modispaugh and the former Vickie Bridgens were married Aug. 7, 1971, at Calvary Baptist Church in Winchester, Va., by the Rev. Kinziel. Kathy Bridgens was maid of honor for her sister and Susan Overfield served as bridesmaid. Serving Mr. Modispaugh as best man was Gary Cochran.
The couple attend Believers Christian Fellowship Church.

They have three children, Melissa (Dan) Goddard of Kansas City, Mo., Tamara (Keith) Belanger of Champion and Roger (Lisa) Modispaugh of Champion. They also have four grandchildren.
A Vietnam War veteran, Mr. Modispaugh retired in 2008 from General Motors. He enjoys car shows and coaching Champion girls basketball.
Mrs. Modispaugh was employed by United Telephone Co. and is now employed as a Shaklee sales representative. She enjoys basketball and casinos.
