Mr. and Mrs. Levi N. Elzy Sr. of Warren celebrated their 45th anniversary with friends and family on Aug. 13, 2011.
Levi Elzy and the former Carolyn Ferebee were married during a double ring wedding ceremony on Aug. 13, 1966, at St. James Church of God in Christ (COGIC). Officiating were Elder David Howard Jr. and Elder James D. Johnson (now deceased).
The couple have three children, Levi Elzy Jr. of Niles, Stephany Elzy (Jimmy) Smith of Warren Township and Lisa C. Elzy of Warren. They also have three grandchildren.

Elder Levi has labored many years in the service of the Lord and is a retiree of General Motors Lordstown and a missionary. He is an ordained elder and he has held numerous positions at the St. James COGIC as usher board president, Sunday school teacher, ministerial staff member and Warren District No. 2 Sunday School representative.
Mrs. Elzy's spiritual roots began at the Watkins Temple COGIC and she is a retiree of Packard Electric Division of General Motors. She is a licensed missionary and has served as a Mistress of Ceremony, choir member, assistant adjutant to the Warren District No. 2 Missionary, and an avid soloist.
The couple have been pastor and first lady of the Jenkins Memorial COGIC for 11 years, appointed by the late Bishop Warren E. Miller of the Ohio Central Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of the Churches of God in Christ.
In their spare time, they enjoy outdoor picnics, family and church family activities, singing, gospel music and preaching. They were previously known as the Elzy Duo.
