Mr. and Mrs. W.C. Arndt will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with family and friends at the Mahoning Valley Scrappers baseball game on July 27, 2011, where Bill will throw out the first pitch.
"Bill" Arndt and the former Janice McAninch were married July 27, 1951, at Southington Methodist Church by the Rev. Theodore Hubbell.
Mr. Arndt attended Kent State University and was employed at Copperweld Steel Co. from 1951 to 1982, retiring from the melt shop.

Mrs. Arndt worked as a secretary at Hiram College, the Ohio State Highway Patrol in Southington, and as a medical secretary and transcriber at Trumbull Memorial Hospital and Warren Out-Patient Services.
The couple resided in Champion for many years and now lives in Greene Township, Ohio, and Fort Myers Beach, Fla.
A family dinner will be hosted by the couple's children, Lynda (Larry) Norton, Mike (Myra) Arndt and Brian Arndt. They also have five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
The couple enjoys attending Indians and Scrappers baseball games, gardening and travel.
