The engagement and upcoming marriage of Heather Lucas and Christopher Penton are being announced by the couple and their families.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Kathi Lucas of Howland and Frank Lucas of Champion.
Parents of the groom-elect are J.B. and Marianne Penton of Conneaut.

Miss Lucas earned her bachelor's degree in biochemistry from Hiram College. She is pursuing her doctorate of veterinary medicine at The Ohio State University. She is employed at Banfield Pet Hospital in Columbus.
Mr. Penton earned his bachelor's degree in biochemistry from Hiram College. He is pursuing his doctorate in integrated biomedical sciences at The Ohio State University. He is completing his research in a lab studying muscular dystrophy.
The couple will have an August wedding at Fellows Riverside Gardens Gazebo, Millcreek Park. Invitations have been issued for a reception at the D.D. Davis Center.
