Mr. and Mrs. William A. Burger Sr. celebrated their 50th anniversary with family and friends at an outdoor party at the home of Tina and Scott Hanson on June 19, 2011. The couple repeated their wedding vows at that time with Pastor Mark Reese officiating.
William Burger and the former Martha Krieg were married June 18, 1961, at the Champion Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Charles McCrae.
The couple has two children, Tina Hanson of Cortland and William A. Burger Jr. of Warren. They also have three grandsons and three stepgrandsons.

A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, William is retired from Taylor-Winfield Corp. of Warren, and Fab Art of Youngstown. Martha (Marti) is retired from Packard Electric of Warren.
