Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Pelyhes of Niles were honored at a reception at the Victorian Room in Niles for their 50th anniversary. The celebration was hosted by the couple's son and daughter-in-law, Raymond Jr. and Susan Pelyhes.
Mr. Pelyhes and the former Doris Dellick were married at St. Mary's Church in Warren by the Rev. Mark Zwick on April 22, 1961.
Mr. Pelyhes served with the U.S. Army in Germany and during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He also worked at Taylor Winfield and retired from General Motors Corp. in Lords-town.

Mrs. Pelyhes worked at Ohio Lamp General Electric as a stem maker before quitting to be a homemaker.
They are now members of St. Stephen Church in Niles.
